Founded, designed, and led by a village of individuals with shared lived experience of young parenthood, Brave is Australia’s first national not-for-profit dedicated to supporting expecting and parenting young people.
Vision and mission
Vision: A future where every young parent and their child thrives and belongs
Mission: Walking alongside and championing young parents as a centre of excellence
How Brave Foundation can help
Brave Foundation's core program, Supporting Expecting and Parenting Teens, focuses on connecting a young person with a professional mentor. This is a 1:1 relationship and the role of the mentor is to support the participant in defining and working towards goals that they set for themselves. The mentor also helps each participant to navigate towards those goals by linking them with organisations, resources, and service providers that will help them overcome barriers and reach their goal.
